There was a felt need to reorganize the AVT in 2003 as some Commissions were defunct and bereft of personnel. It was then in November of the same year when the every Pastoral Workers (The Clergy, Religious Men and Women and some Lay Collaborators) was strongly encouraged to become a member of any Commission of his/her choice so as to enhance his capabilities; giftedness and talents. The monthly meetings of the AVT Pastoral Workers have become the hub of pastoral planning that enabled each one to participate in the decision making processes of the AVT, although the final approval of any proposals are always officially done by the AVT Mission Council. Coming together as Pastoral Workers is not only a matter of doing business in our work, but gives more importance of being together, sharing our pastoral work and encouraging others for to carry on with the mission. We give importance to our monthly meetings. It is only here that we can obtain and experience of the spirit of being a basic ecclesial community journeying together in our mission here in the AVT.
In the year 2011, a third Pastoral Assemble was held with the objective to revisit the thrust of the Vicariate so as to make it more effective in responding to the signs of the times. It was during this Assembly that the current Vision-Mission of AVT was formulated as a deepening of the previous Vision Mission of 1994. Its emphasis centers on becoming a Community of Disciples founded on the Triune God. Integral formation of every Pastoral Worker and the Faithful was upheld with great importance.
