FORMATION COMMISSION
Vision
The formation Commission of the AVT envisions a very important role in molding Pastoral Workers to become committed and dedicated instruments of Evangelization as Disciples.
Mission
The formation commission commits itself in proper implementation of programs and activities both in the initial and ongoing formation. The commission would further devote its efforts into looking for means and ways to develop more the formation of Seminarians and Priests, Religious and Lay Collaborators.
The Formation Commission has two major concerns:
Initial Formation
1. The Initial Formation that deals with all aspects pertaining the welfare and studies of our candidates to the Diocesan Priesthood. It is the task of the Formation Commission to recruit and interview applicants; recommend them for acceptance; follow them up in their formation and studies all throughout their seminary training. The spiritual and moral guidance and support is not only limited to the diocesan vocations but also extended to all young men and women in the AVT who entered other religious orders.
Ongoing Formation
2. The Ongoing Formation for all the Pastoral Workers i.e., the Clergy; Religious and all our Lay Collaborators. The Formation Commission ensures that all Pastoral Workers engaged in the apostolate in our AVT should be encouraged to undergo ongoing formation programs and activities i.e., attendance during our monthly AVT gatherings; communal and/or individual retreats; renewal courses or seminars in and out of the AVT; Assist Programs for those in need; as well as to ensure that the Spiritual well-being is being taken care of.
